Competition of Young Researchers

The Second Nanotechnology International Forum closed with awarding the winners of the Second International Competition of Scientific Papers in Nanotechnology for Young Researchers.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov, Director of the Joint Institute for High Temperatures RAS Vladimir Fortov and RUSNANO Director General Anatoly Chubais took part in the award ceremony.

Russian and international participants presented 518 scientific papers ranging across 17 fields of nanotechnology and nanoindustry development. These include 505 works of Russian competitors from 58 different cities and 13 papers of international competitors from 9 states (Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Israel, Iran, The Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Ukraine).

The works presented include such areas as nanodiagnostics, nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, photovoltaics, nanoelectromechanical systems, nanobiotechnology, nanomaterials, self-assembly and self-organization processes in nanomaterials construction, chemical technologies of nanomaterials, biological molecular machines, nanotechnologies in power engineering and medicine, mathematical simulation in nanotechnology and others.

Authors of the best works received honorary Forum certificates and cash prizes.
